I couldn’t wait to share with you some of the pictures I took on my trip to Amboise back in April. It is such a vibrant and cute town that I really can’t wait to go back there as soon as I have the chance.
For a walk around Amboise, I chose this simple yet chic ensemble.
As most of you’ve already seen, my trip to France was filled with stripes, so I couldn’t dissapoint with this outfit post, lol. In my opinion, stripes are always a hit for spring and summer, so I think it was very appropriate.
Some of the places I got to visit that afternoon while in Amboise were:
1. Château d’Amboise: This castle and its gardens are amazing! Don’t forget to visit Leonardo da Vinci’s tomb in the Saint-Hubert Chapel.
2. Clos Lucé: Leonardo da Vinci lived here during his last years and it’s a must while in Amboise! You’ll get to see all his inventions, prototypes and more.
3. Small wine shops: Below the Chateau, we got to try some of Amboise’s wine, which is actually pretty good. A nice gesture on their part is that they don’t charge you to for tastings. We ended up getting some very good bottles.
4. Coffee shops, small restaurants and markets: Below the castle you’ll find everything you need to satiate your hunger and thirst while enjoying a relaxing evening (people watching, of course, as the French do best).
I hope you love the town as much as I did. I honestly felt super comfy and relaxed in this outfit and can’t wait to go and watch another sunset there… And maybe eat another croissant from the Viennoiserie.
Have you been to Amboise? What’s a cute underrated town that you love?
